When using ground turkey I’ve found it works best in recipes that have a lot of other flavor as the turkey itself doesn’t have a lot of flavor. What has more flavor than some homemade chili? This recipe is not super spicy (I can’t handle spice to save my life) but it does have a well rounded set of flavors that is accompanied very well by cheese, sour cream, chives (and pretty much every other chili topping you can think of). If you like to prep freezer meals this is an excellent recipe to use as you can freeze it either before or after it is cooked.

Crock Pot Turkey Chili
  • 1 lb Ground Turkey
  • 15 oz can Hot Chili Beans
  • 15 oz can Chili Beans
  • 14.5 oz can Del Monte Zesty Mild Green Chile Diced Tomato
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Chili Powder
  • 1 chopped Onion
Optional Toppings
  • Shredded Cheese
  • Sour Cream
  • Chives
  • Bacon
  1. Brown the ground turkey over a medium-low heat
  2. Chop the onion to your desired size
  3. Add the browned ground turkey and all other ingredients to the crock pot
  4. Cook on low 4-6 hours or on high 2-4 hours, stirring occasionally
  5. Serve warm with desired toppings
