One of my favorite ways to get a little more money out of my groceries is using an app called iBotta. If you have a smartphone then all you need is a bit of patience. Here is the basic idea behind iBotta:
- Select a “rebate” in the app (some are brand and size specific, others are as general as “bananas”)
- Purchase the product at a participating store (all of our local major grocery stores participate)
- Scan the barcode on the product
- Scan the receipt
- Get paid!
I don’t normally buy things just because they have a rebate available so I don’t earn nearly as quickly as some people I’ve seen but I’ve casually redeemed rebates for the last 3 years and I’ve earned well over $200. That’s $200 I wouldn’t have had otherwise for things I was buying anyways. Some months it’s only $0.50 but some months I’ll earn upwards of $20.00 in rebates. Then when you want to get your money you simply have it transferred to your PayPal account. Let me ask you this, even if you’re skeptical what do you have to lose?
if you use my referral link (https://ibotta.com/r/dpwpma) and redeem a rebate within 2 weeks of registering you’ll get a bonus $10.00 just for trying it. Right now there is $0.25 off a gallon of white milk, $0.25 off any bag of shredded cheese, and $0.25 of any pre-sliced bread.
